Your CFP may include a Monte Carlo simulation with multiple trials that provide a range of possible results. The percentage of trials that were successful is the probability of success of your plan, with all its underlying assumptions. It has no predictive power.
Your CFP may have performance reports that rely on a third-party vendor platform and their calculations. While LF believes these to be accurate, we cannot guarantee that accuracy in every case. The report will show whether the calculation methodology is Time Weighted Return (TWR) or Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and we will produce either version on request. If a benchmark is shown that benchmark may or may not be the best reference for your investments – other benchmarks are available on request.
Please contact LF at 202-350-1515 if there are any changes in your financial situation, needs, goals or objectives, or if you wish to initiate any restrictions on the management of the account or modify existing restrictions. Additionally, we recommend you compare any account reports from LF with the account statements from your Custodian.
Please notify us if you do not receive statements from your Custodian on at least a quarterly basis. Our current disclosure brochure, Form ADV Part 2, is available for your review upon request here. This disclosure brochure, or a summary of material changes made, is also provided to our clients on an annual basis.
